Resumen

O meio ambiente é o conjunto de elementos naturais e artificiais que compõem o espaço em que vivem todos os seres, englobando componentes como o solo, a água, o ar, a fauna, a flora e os ecossistemas. Logo, ele é fundamental para a sobrevivência e o bem-estar de todos os seres vivos, sendo fonte de recursos essenciais como água, alimentos e oxigênio, além de desempenhar papel vital na regulação climática e nos ciclos ecológicos. Nesse contexto, surge o Direito Ambiental, ramo do Direito que tem como objetivo a proteção e a conservação do meio ambiente, visando assegurar a sustentabilidade dos recursos naturais e o equilíbrio ecológico em benefício das gerações presentes e futuras. Por conseguinte, o Direito Processual Ambiental emerge como um ramo fundamental para a efetivação dos direitos difusos relacionados ao meio ambiente, com foco em garantir que os interesses coletivos sejam protegidos judicialmente. Diante disso, o presente artigo científico tem por finalidade discorrer acerca do Direito Processual Ambiental, considerando questões pertinentes à jurisdição civil coletiva e determinados aspectos processuais, sobretudo, aqueles vinculados aos principais meios judiciais de proteção ambiental, tais como: a ação civil pública, a ação popular, o mandado de segurança coletivo e o mandado de injunção.
