PERCEPÇÕES DOS DESAFIOS NO ATENDIMENTO AO TRAUMATISMO DENTOALVEOLAR: UM ESTUDO TRANSVERSAL COM DENTISTAS DA ATENÇÃO PRIMÁRIA DO SUS EM MINAS GERAIS E RIO DE JANEIRO

O traumatismo dentário (TDI) constitui uma das principais urgências odontológicas na Atenção Primária à Saúde (APS), exigindo resposta clínica imediata e qualificada para prevenir perdas funcionais, estéticas e psicossociais. Este estudo transversal teve como objetivo identificar os principais desafios enfrentados por cirurgiões-dentistas do Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS) no manejo de TDIs em unidades básicas dos estados do Rio de Janeiro e Minas Gerais. Os dados foram obtidos por meio de um questionário eletrônico estruturado, respondido por 27 profissionais. A análise evidenciou que 92,6% das unidades apresentam carência frequente de materiais e equipamentos, enquanto apenas 18,5% dos dentistas utilizam protocolos clínicos de forma sistemática. Quanto à formação, 85,2% não recebem apoio financeiro para capacitações e 59,3% afirmam arcar sozinhos com a própria atualização. A colaboração interprofissional foi considerada insuficiente por 33,3% dos respondentes, e 88,9% relataram ausência de treinamentos institucionais sobre TDI. Conclui-se que há necessidade urgente de políticas públicas que fortaleçam a rede de atenção odontológica no SUS, integrando gestores, profissionais e instituições de ensino para garantir equidade e qualidade no atendimento ao trauma dentário.
