Governo Eletrônico na Esfera Municipal:
um estudo nos sites de prefeituras na microrregião de Teófilo Otoni-MG

Diante das diversas transformações que ocorreram na sociedade a partir do advento da globalização e das Tecnologias da Informação e Comunicação (TICs), esta pesquisa objetiva analisar a relevância da participação eletrônica no contexto democrático e apresentar a disposição de ferramentas de participação cidadã nos sites das prefeituras da microrregião de Teófilo Otoni-MG. Uma vez que as TICs podem fomentar e ampliar as formas de interação entre o Estado e a Sociedade. O Governo Eletrônico, a partir de ferramentas de participação eletrônica, pode propiciar aos cidadãos maior envolvimento nos aspectos decisórios de organizações públicas, configurando um cenário propício à efetivação da democracia. A coleta de dados se baseou na navegação virtual orientada, ao fim da pesquisa foram apresentadas e comparadas as ferramentas que são disponibilizadas pelas prefeituras. A maior parte das prefeituras da microrregião de Teófilo Otoni se de utilizam de sites como ferramentas de governo eletrônico, apenas três prefeituras não possuem a ferramenta como meio de divulgação e troca de informações com os cidadãos.
