EFEITO DOS FODMAPs NO TRATAMENTO DIETÉTICO DAS DOENÇAS INFLAMATÓRIAS INTESTINAIS: uma revisão integrativa

A pesquisa teve como objetivo avaliar o efeito da dieta reduzida em FODMAPs como tratamento nutricional adjuvante nas Doenças Inflamatórias Intestinais(DIIs), visando à diminuição dos sintomas gastrointestinais clássicos. Foi realizada uma busca criteriosa nas bases de dados: Pubmed (Medline), Biblioteca virtual em saúde (BVS) e Scientific Eletronic Library Online (Scielo).Os critérios de inclusão foram artigos científicos (observacionais e ensaios clínicos) na língua portuguesa e inglesa, publicados entre os anos de 2019 a 2024 que contemplaram a temática sobre o efeito dos FODMAPs na terapia nutricional das DIIs, disponíveis em texto completo e que envolveram humanos.Os critérios de exclusão foram artigos que não estavam no período de tempo, além de editoriais; artigos de revisão, relatos de caso, relatos de experiência e artigos em duplicidade. Dietas com baixo teor de FODMAPs podem melhorar o sintomas intestinais e a qualidade de vida dos pacientes em tratamento das doenças inflamatórias intestinais. Contudo, são necessários mais estudos para entender como funcionam o efeito dos FODMAPs em relação as doenças inflamatórias intestinais
