ASPECTOS ECONÓMICOS DEL CÁNCER DE BOCA EN BRASIL

El cáncer de boca (CB) es un problema de salud que requiere atención en diferentes niveles de atención, relacionado con diversos aspectos económicos. El objetivo de este estudio es identificar en la literatura científica la relación de los aspectos económicos asociados al cáncer de boca en Brasil. De esta manera, se realizó una revisión integradora de la literatura sobre esta temática, utilizando criterios de selección de estudios publicados en los últimos cinco años, en tres bases de datos diferentes, con texto completo disponible y que estuvieran relacionados con el objetivo de la investigación. Se excluyeron revisiones y otros tipos de estudios, lo que resultó en la selección de nueve estudios. Se identificaron artículos que enfatizaban diferentes temas, como costos gubernamentales y costos de hospitalización, recursos estructurales, cobertura de salud, nivel socioeconómico y recursos humanos disponibles, los cuales, directa o indirectamente, se relacionan con el cáncer. Estos estudios pueden clasificarse en dos bloques no excluyentes: “aspectos económicos directos” y “aspectos económicos indirectos”. La influencia económica es variable, con una posible asociación entre el aumento de la inversión en la red de salud y la mejora de los indicadores del CB. Por lo tanto, se observa que diferentes aspectos económicos están asociados al CB y que la expansión de la red de salud de manera proporcional y equilibrada puede permitir un impacto positivo de estas variables.
