DE LA ESCASEZ A LA EQUIDAD: EL PAPEL ESTRATÉGICO DE LOS TRABAJADORES SOCIALES EN EL ANÁLISIS DE POLÍTICAS DEL AGUA

El acceso al agua es un derecho humano fundamental, pero enfrenta desafíos que persisten durante siglos. En este contexto, los trabajadores sociales, actuando en las comunidades y en las políticas públicas, desempeñan un papel estratégico en la identificación de vulnerabilidades, la promoción de la equidad y la defensa del derecho al agua. Este estudio analiza la contribución de los trabajadores sociales en la formulación y evaluación de políticas públicas orientadas a la gestión sostenible de los recursos hídricos, utilizando indicadores sociodemográficos, biológicos y fisicoquímicos. Con un enfoque cualitativo, realizamos una revisión sistemática de la literatura en bases de datos científicas nacionales e internacionales, empleando las metodologías PRISMA y PICO, así como el software VOSviewer para el mapeo bibliométrico. Los resultados preliminares indican que, si bien la intervención del Trabajo Social en el sector hídrico aún carece de una sólida consolidación teórica, es esencial para integrar las dimensiones sociales en los análisis técnicos y ambientales. Además, el uso de indicadores y marcadores resultó relevante para la formulación de políticas más inclusivas y sostenibles, mejorando así la seguridad hídrica y el bienestar social. Concluimos que fortalecer esta agenda es indispensable para afrontar los desafíos contemporáneos y garantizar la justicia social en materia de acceso al agua.
