PERFIL DE CRIANÇAS COM TRANSTORNO DO DÉFICIT DE ATENÇÃO (TDAH) EM USO DE METILFENIDATO, ATENDIDAS PELO CENTRO DE ATENÇÃO PSICOSSOCIAL (CAPS), NO MUNICÍPIO DE NOVO CRUZEIRO – MG

O tratamento do Transtorno do Déficit de Atenção e Hiperatividade (TDAH) envolve tanto intervenção farmacológica como intervenção psicossocial. O inicio do tratamento, que, na maioria das vezes, ocorre na infância, traz a necessidade de maior atenção no diagnóstico.Estima-se que o TDAH seja um dos principais motivos de encaminhamento de crianças ao sistema de saúde e que o Metilfenidato é o fármaco mais utilizado para o tratamento. Diante dos possíveis efeitos colaterais e tóxico de pendência advindos do uso deste fármaco, o presente trabalho busca traçar um perfil de crianças atendidas no CAPS da cidade de Novo Cruzeiro-MG e que fazem uso deste medicamento. Verificou-se a prevalência de crianças do sexo masculino, que apresentavam sintomas como desatenção, hiperatividade e impulsividade, e que o uso pode causar falta de apetite, insônia, cefaléia, euforia, ansiedade e irritabilidade como efeitos colaterais. Conclui-se que o uso deve ser criterioso e acompanhado continuamente por uma equipe multidisciplinar.
