O Direto ao Próprio Corpo é um tema que vem sendo cada vez mais embatido e debatido contemporaneamente, devido á evolução de valores morais na sociedade. Apesar de o tema ser nexo, existem inúmeras inconsistências e lacunas passiveis de interpretação na legislação vigente sobre o direito de um individuo sobre o própriocorpo. Os artigos 13, 14 e 15 do Código Civil de 2002 deixam evidentes que o conceito de “liberdade” no contexto é limitado, e este artigo tem, justamente, como foco abalizar as normas relacionadas, aludindo questões integrantes como doação de órgãos e suas variáveis, mudança de sexo, entre outras. Além disso, este trabalho visa ampliar o debate sobre a autonomia que um indivíduo possui sobre o próprio corpo, tendo como norte os ordenamentos jurídicos correntes e quiçá filosóficos que discutem e embasam tais teses.
