Editorial Fees Transparency

What is the Article Processing Fee (APF)?

The Article Processing Fee is charged for all manuscripts submitted after statistical analysis. This fee covers the costs of initial screening, peer review administration, plagiarism checking, and maintenance of our technological infrastructure.

When is the fee charged?

The APF is charged after manuscript submission and statistical analysis of the article, before editorial evaluation. Editorial processing of the manuscript will only begin after payment confirmation.

Does the fee guarantee acceptance?

No. Payment of the fee does not guarantee acceptance of your article. Editorial decisions are based exclusively on the scientific quality, originality, and relevance of the work. Many articles are rejected even after payment of the fee.

How much does it cost?

The current APF is: R$ 550.00 (Brazilian Real)

Are there other fees?

No. REMUNOM does not charge any additional fees. There is no publication fee after acceptance, nor any fee for accessing reviewer comments.

Fee Waiver Policy

Authors corresponding from low-income countries (as classified by the World Bank) may request a complete fee waiver.
How to apply: Send email for contato@ujn.ojsbr.com

How do we ensure editorial independence?

REMUNOM implements a strict separation between editorial decisions and fee processing:
The editorial team has no access to payment information
Editors receive only the manuscript, unaware of whether the fee was paid
We conduct quarterly audits to ensure this separation
We publish annual compliance reports

Compliance with International Standards

Our practices are in full compliance with guidelines from:
COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics)
ICMJE (International Committee of Medical Journal Editors)
