Resumo

The complexity of port operations demands management tools that integrate operational efficiency, sustainability, and organizational resilience. This article presents the LARGES paradigm (Lean, Agile, Resilience, Governance, Environment, and Social), developed as an integrative model for port management, combining management principles with governance and social responsibility, offering a theoretical and practical framework to increase the competitiveness and sustainability of ports. The application of LARGES in a port terminal is discussed generically, highlighting its contribution to the optimization of logistics flows, risk mitigation, and alignment with regulatory and social requirements. A systematic literature review was conducted, following the guidelines of the PRISMA 2020 protocol, focusing on port terminal supply chains. The selected articles were analyzed and systematized according to the dimensions of LARGES. A synthesis of the main acronyms used in the literature on port supply chains was elaborated, highlighting the conceptual evolution of the field. Based on the LARG (Lean, Agile, Resilience, and Green) model, this paper proposes expanding it to LARGES, explicitly incorporating the Governance and Social dimensions, as well as shifting the focus from "green" to "environment," to reflect a more systemic environmental approach aligned with contemporary environmental governance practices. The applicability of LARGES to the port context is discussed analytically, highlighting its potential for optimizing logistics flows, mitigating operational and institutional risks, strengthening collaborative governance, and aligning with regulatory and social requirements. The results indicate that LARGES contributes to the integration of operational efficiency and sustainable development, offering a holistic perspective for port management. The model also reveals relevant gaps in the literature, especially regarding the Governance and Social dimensions, reinforcing the need for more integrated and multidimensional approaches to advance sustainability and resilience in the port sector.
