LA HIDROGRAFÍA DEL ABANDONO: MAPEANDO EL IMPACTO SOCIOECONÓMICO DE LAS INUNDACIONES EN HUMAITÁ, SUR DE AMAZONAS

Este estudio analiza los impactos socioeconómicos y los efectos subjetivos de las inundaciones en el barrio Santo Antônio, en Humaitá (AM), región caracterizada por alta vulnerabilidad ocioambiental debido a la dinámica fluvial del río Madeira y a la ocupación de áreas de várzea. La metodología consistió en la aplicación de cuestionarios estructurados a 50 residentes afectados por las inundaciones entre 2024 y 2025. Los resultados revelaron que el 72% de los participantes manifestó deseo de migrar, mientras que el 28% permaneció en el territorio debido a vínculos afectivos, redes de solidaridad comunitaria y la inexistencia de alternativas viables. El análisis estadístico mostró ausencia de correlación significativa (ρ = −0,037; p = 0,798) entre el tiempo de residencia y la intención de cambio, evidenciando que factores subjetivos y estructurales tienen mayor peso predictivo que la variable temporal. Además, el 86% de los participantes se autodeclaró de raza mixta (pardo), lo que refleja la intersección entre raza, clase y exposición diferencial a riesgos, configurando un escenario de injusticia ambiental en la Amazonía meridional. Se concluye que la gestión del riesgo en la región requiere políticas públicas que integren la percepción subjetiva de las experiencias vividas y el enfrentamiento de las desigualdades históricas que configuran el territorio.
