Abstract

This work aims to highlight the role that the media plays over the population, and its interference in the smoothness of the criminal process and also in the jury plenary, covering from the beginning the roots of the jury court, its principles and objectives and formation, addressing also freedom of expression and freedom of the press, observing how their use and pre-trial can negatively affect the juror, causing their sense to be affected, so that they make decisions based on public acclaim, and thus deprive someone of their freedom based in media speculation.
