Teaching radiation physics faces challenges due to the complexity of concepts and the need to understand radiological protection measures, making it essential to adopt active methodologies, such as educational games, to promote more meaningful and engaging learning. In this context, this study presents an interactive board game developed to assist in the assimilation of concepts about ionizing radiation and safety standards, integrating challenges and events that encourage the practical application of theoretical knowledge. Through a literature review, the benefits of playful teaching are discussed, such as increased student engagement, facilitation of meaningful learning, and stimulation of cognitive and collaborative development.
