representation, resistance, Black feminism, Black women, intersectionalityAbstract
This article analyzes the trajectory of Black women who have marked the history of Brazil: Tereza de Benguela, Carolina Maria de Jesus, and Djamila Ribeiro, through the lens of intersectionality. It
seeks to understand how race, gender, and social class intersect in shaping the experiences of these
women, who transformed oppression into resistance, and critical thinking into representativeness.
The research highlights the relevance of their contributions to Black feminism and to the
reinterpretation of structural inequalities in Brazilian society.
