Los impactos de la violencia obstétrica en la salud mental de las mujeres

A violência obstétrica (VO) envolve práticas abusivas e desrespeitosas durante o parto, como intervenções sem consentimento, negligência e violência física, psicológica e sexual. Esse fenômeno afeta a saúde física e mental das mulheres, aumentando o risco de depressão pós-parto e outros transtornos psicológicos. Fatores como falta de recursos e treinamento inadequado de profissionais de saúde contribuem para a ocorrência da VO, que também está ligada a questões de gênero, desvalorizando a mulher como sujeito de sua própria experiência de parto. Embora o Brasil tenha avançado com políticas públicas de humanização e proteção dos direitos das gestantes, ainda há lacunas significativas. A conscientização, a capacitação dos profissionais de saúde e a implementação de práticas mais respeitosas são essenciais para reduzir a violência obstétrica e melhorar a qualidade do atendimento.
