ENTRE GRADES E CUIDADOS: UM RELATO DE EXPERIÊNCIA SOBRE OS DESAFIOS E VIVÊNCIAS DA ENFERMAGEM NO ATENDIMENTO A PRESOS

Resumen

O presente relato descreve a experiência dos estagiários do curso de Enfermagem do Instituto Educacional Santa Catarina/Faculdade Guaraí (IESC/FAG) na Unidade Penal de Guaraí - TO. Durante as visitas supervisionadas, os acadêmicos realizaram triagens, consultas de enfermagem e orientações de saúde aos reeducandos, atuando de forma humanizada e eficaz. A atividade evidenciou o papel essencial da enfermagem na promoção da saúde dentro do sistema prisional, mesmo diante de desafios como questões éticas e legais, adaptação ao contexto prisional e perfil da população atendida. A ação proporcionou aprendizado prático e reforçou a importância da escuta qualificada e do cuidado empático à população privada de liberdade, além de estimular a formação de profissionais conscientes e comprometidos com a equidade em saúde.
