DO CORTE À VIDEOLAPAROSCOPIA: UMA DÉCADA DE TRANSFORMAÇÕES NA CIRURGIA BARIÁTRICA PELO SUS

INTRODUÇÃO: Intervenções cirúrgicas, como a cirurgia bariátrica, são frequentemente indicadas para obesidade especialmente quando outras abordagens, como mudanças no estilo de vida, falham. No Brasil, o SUS realiza um grande número de cirurgias bariátricas, frequentemente indicadas para obesidade mórbida (IMC ≥ 40), sendo a derivação gástrica em Y de Roux a técnica mais prevalente. A cirurgia bariátrica tem se mostrado eficaz, mas desafios como complicações, questões nutricionais e ajustes psicológicos exigem monitoramento contínuo. METODOLOGIA: Foi realizado um estudo observacional descritivo, com abordagem quantitativa, utilizando dados do Sistema de Informação Hospitalar do SUS (SIH-SUS) entre 2014 e 2024. Os dados foram coletados a partir de informações públicas e anonimizadas, organizados e analisados no Microsoft Excel. RESULTADOS: Análise revelou uma transição significativa para técnicas minimamente invasivas, especialmente a cirurgia bariátrica por videolaparoscopia. Foram encontradas desigualdades regionais no acesso aos diversos tipos de procedimentos, com a maioria concentrada nas regiões Sul e Sudeste, em detrimento as regiões Norte e Centro-Oeste. CONCLUSÃO: Os dados refletem desigualdades no acesso a serviços de saúde de alta complexidade, exigindo políticas públicas para melhorar a distribuição desses serviços no país.
