A presente pesquisa, intitulada "Proteção à Infância e o (Des)envolvimento Saudável", propõe uma análise crítica sobre os impactos da ausência de proteção biopsicossocial no desenvolvimento infantil, sobretudo em contextos de vulnerabilidade social. A relevância do tema está ancorada na crescente medicalização da infância e na negligência de direitos fundamentais, mesmo diante da existência de instrumentos legais como o Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente (ECA). Partindo da pergunta norteadora — Como a atuação do psicólogo pode contribuir para garantir a proteção integral da infância e prevenir o desenvolvimento psíquico comprometido em contextos de vulnerabilidade social? — o estudo tem como objetivo geral compreender as consequências psíquicas infantis associadas a contextos de desamparo e analisar o papel do psicólogo na promoção da proteção integral da criança. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa, de caráter exploratório, baseada em revisão bibliográfica. As fontes utilizadas incluem livros, artigos científicos e documentos legais, selecionados nas bases SciELO, PePSIC e Google Acadêmico, com foco em publicações sobre infância, psicanálise, políticas públicas e desenvolvimento humano. Os resultados esperados envolvem a ampliação da compreensão sobre os efeitos da negligência biopsicossocial na infância e o fortalecimento do olhar clínico e ético do psicólogo frente às demandas infantis, contribuindo para práticas mais sensíveis, não patologizantes e comprometidas com a promoção do desenvolvimento integral da criança.
