NATUREZA E EDUCAÇÃO NA CULTURA OCIDENTAL MODERNA E CONTEMPORÂNEA: PRESSUPOSTOS EPISTEMOLÓGICOS DE UMA HISTÓRIA COMPLEXA

Esse artigo de revisão bibliográfica, ancorado no pensamento complexo de Edgar Morin, apresenta e discute a histórica relação entre natureza, cultura e educação. Nele refletimos sobre como a epistemologia moderna influenciou essa relação, criando sérios problemas para a biosfera, e como poderíamos mudar a relação entre natureza, cultura e educação, com apoio das ciências da complexidade. Analisamos o pensamento de autores modernos, como René Descartes, a fim de vermos como o desdobramento do pensamento dele, e de outros, contribuiu para chegarmos ao atual estágio de degradação ambiental. Compreendendo que a maneira moderna de ver o mundo, que trabalha com os princípios de separação e redução, criou problemas enormes para a vida na terra, propomos uma reforma do pensamento que seja capaz de religar os saberes, descompartimentalizar a vida e revitalizar a natureza.
