O PILATES E SUA RELAÇÃO COM A HIPERTROFIA MUSCULAR

O método Pilates tem sido amplamente utilizado tanto em contextos clínicos quanto em academias, promovendo significativas melhorias na flexibilidade, coordenação e estabilidade corporal. No entanto, sua relação com a hipertrofia muscular ainda é tema de intensa discussão científica. O presente trabalho teve como objetivo investigar, por meio de uma revisão de literatura, os efeitos do Pilates na força e no desenvolvimento muscular de adultos clinicamente saudáveis. Foram analisados diversos estudos que exploraram a aplicação do método em diferentes contextos, comparando-o com o treinamento resistido tradicional. Os resultados indicaram que o Pilates pode contribuir de maneira indireta para o ganho de massa magra e para a melhora do desempenho muscular, especialmente quando associado a programas de exercícios com sobrecarga. Conclui-se, portanto, que o método pode ser utilizado como uma estratégia complementar bastante eficaz para o aprimoramento da força e da eficiência motora, favorecendo a saúde geral e o desempenho físico de cada indivíduo.
