EDUCACIÓN POLÍTICA Y DEMOCRACIA SOSTENIBLE A LA LUZ DE LOS ODS

La democracia, como régimen político sostenido y sostenible basado en la participación popular, requiere ciudadanos conscientes, capaces de comprender, debatir e intervenir en la dirección de la sociedad. En este sentido, este artículo busca analizar cómo se aborda la educación política en los ODS, con miras a promover una democracia sostenible en Brasil. Metodológicamente, esta investigación adopta un enfoque cualitativo. En cuanto a su naturaleza, se trata de una investigación básica y exploratorio-descriptiva en cuanto a su objetivo principal. En cuanto a los procedimientos técnicos, se adoptó el método bibliográfico, con la revisión bibliográfica como técnica principal para la recopilación e interpretación de datos e información. En cuanto a las técnicas de análisis, se empleó el análisis de contenido. Los resultados indican que las políticas públicas presentadas, aunque no están específicamente estructuradas como políticas formales de educación política, actúan de forma transversal en los ODS 4 y 16. Finalmente, se concluye que dichas acciones refuerzan la comprensión de que la educación política, como dimensión de la educación cívica, es indispensable tanto para garantizar el derecho a una educación de calidad como para asegurar instituciones democráticas eficaces e inclusivas basadas en la participación informada de la sociedad.
