LA SOJA COMO PROYECTO TERRITORIAL: EVIDENCIAS PRODUCTIVAS Y EXPRESIÓN ESPACIAL DE LA HOMOGENEIZACIÓN AGRARIA EN IMBITUVA (PARANÁ, BRASIL), 1995-2024

Este artículo analiza la “sojalización” de la agricultura en Imbituva (Paraná, Brasil) entre 1995 y 2024, articulando evidencias productivas (series del IBGE y del IPARDES) y evidencias espaciales (MapBiomas – Colección 10). Metodológicamente, se integran: (i) la lectura temporal de la jerarquía productiva municipal; (ii) el cálculo de productividad (t/ha) mediante cruce entre producción (t) y área (ha); y (iii) el análisis de transiciones de uso y cobertura del suelo y cartografía comparativa (1995/2024), interpretada como expresión espacial de la reestructuración del territorio usado. Los resultados indican que la producción de soja creció un 436,5% en el período, sostenida principalmente por ganancias tecnológicas (productividad de ~1,3 a ~4,2 t/ha; +220,6%), mientras que el área cultivada aumentó un 66,9%. Territorialmente, la expansión ocurrió predominantemente por reconversión productiva interna: la clase “Otras Labranzas Temporales” se redujo un 93,0%, evidenciando sustitución dentro del espacio agrícola. La cartografía comparativa sugiere la constitución de una matriz agraria más continua y dominante, con tendencia a la homogeneización funcional, en la cual los remanentes forestales y la malla urbana en expansión asumen un mayor aislamiento relativo. Se discute que el avance de la soja se vincula a la integración del municipio en circuitos largos y lógicas de comando exógenas, generando jerarquías y vulnerabilidades socioambientales en diálogo con la literatura crítica sobre modernización agrícola, cooptación territorial y uso del territorio (Cunha, 1986; 2018; Santos, 2000; Santos & Silveira, 2001; Castillo & Frederico, 2010; Delgado, 2012; Oliveira, 2016).
