PERFIL CLÍNICO-DEMOGRÁFICO E FISIOTERAPIA EM PACIENTES COM FIBROSE CÍSTICA EM UM HOSPITAL PEDIÁTRICO DE FORTALEZA

A Fibrose cística (FC), também conhecida por mucoviscidose, é considerada uma enfermidade congênita, com padrão de hereditariedade autossômico recessivo. A expressão clínica pode se manifestar de diversas formas, sendo caracterizada por manifestações multissistêmicas, ocasionando principalmente complicações respiratórias, digestivas, hepáticas e pancreáticas. O objetivo deste trabalho foi descrever o perfil epidemiológico e o tratamento fisioterápico de pacientes com FC. Para tanto, foi desenvolvido um estudo retrospectivo e documental de abordagem quantitativa, realizado no Hospital Infantil Albert Sabin, em Fortaleza-Ceará, no período de janeiro a novembro de 2012. Foram utilizados 32 prontuários, no qual mostraram que 53% dos pacientes com FC são meninos menores de sete anos e que as alterações respiratórias foram as principais causas de internações. Devido a essas complicações ficou clara a importância da Fisioterapia Respiratória no tratamento desses pacientes, pois podem ser utilizadas diversas técnicas, como de desobstrução e reexpansão pulmonar.
