IMPLEMENTAÇÃO DO CUIDADO CENTRADO NO PACIENTE NOS SERVIÇOS DE SAÚDE: DESAFIOS E IMPACTOS NA QUALIDADE DA ASSISTÊNCIA E NA SEGURANÇA DO PACIENTE

A implementação do cuidado centrado no paciente tem se consolidado como uma abordagem fundamental para a qualificação dos serviços de saúde, especialmente em contextos nos quais se busca aprimorar a qualidade da assistência e fortalecer a segurança do paciente. Nesse sentido, a reorganização das práticas assistenciais em torno das necessidades, valores e preferências dos indivíduos representa uma mudança significativa na forma como os sistemas de saúde estruturam seus processos de cuidado. O presente estudo tem como objetivo analisar os desafios e os impactos associados à implementação do cuidado centrado no paciente nos serviços de saúde, considerando suas implicações para a qualidade assistencial e para a segurança do paciente. Trata-se de uma pesquisa de caráter teórico e analítico, fundamentada na análise de produções científicas recentes que abordam a temática do cuidado centrado no paciente e suas repercussões na organização dos serviços de saúde. A análise evidencia que a adoção desse modelo assistencial contribui para o fortalecimento da comunicação entre profissionais e pacientes, para a ampliação da participação do usuário nas decisões terapêuticas e para o aprimoramento da experiência assistencial. Entretanto, observa-se que sua implementação enfrenta desafios relacionados à organização do trabalho, às condições estruturais dos serviços e à necessidade de mudanças culturais no interior das instituições de saúde. Conclui-se que o cuidado centrado no paciente constitui uma estratégia relevante para a construção de práticas assistenciais mais humanizadas e responsivas às necessidades da população, exigindo, contudo, esforços institucionais contínuos voltados para a reorganização dos processos de trabalho, o fortalecimento da comunicação clínica e a valorização da participação ativa do paciente no processo de cuidado.
