EVALUACIÓN DE LOS TRASTORNOS DEL ESPECTRO AUTISTA (TEA): VALIDACIÓN DE INSTRUMENTOS DE CRIBADO PARA ADULTOS

Introducción: El reconocimiento del TEA como una condición de por vida ha ampliado la atención al diagnóstico en adultos, quienes históricamente han sido ignorados. A pesar del uso de instrumentos de detección, persisten desafíos y lagunas en la validación de estas herramientas, especialmente en el contexto brasileño. Objetivo: describir, mediante una revisión de la literatura, la evidencia científica sobre la validación de instrumentos de detección para el TEA en adultos, centrándose en sus propiedades psicométricas, aplicabilidad y limitaciones en el contexto clínico y cultural. Revisión de la literatura: La perspectiva científica sobre el TEA en adultos ha crecido, buscando superar las lagunas históricas dejadas por el enfoque en la infancia. Instrumentos como el AQ y el SRS-A ayudan en la detección, pero tienen limitaciones y deben usarse con precaución. Por lo tanto, se destaca la importancia de una evaluación más amplia, considerando las comorbilidades, el contexto de vida y la singularidad de cada individuo. Conclusión: La investigación sobre el TEA en adultos ha avanzado, e instrumentos como el AQ, el SRS-A y el RAADS-R ayudan en la detección inicial, aunque tienen limitaciones.
