NARRATIVAS DE MUJERES EMBARAZADAS EN LOS EXTREMOS DE LA EDAD REPRODUCTIVA: DESAFÍOS PSICOSOCIALES, BIOLÓGICOS Y ESTRUCTURALES A LOS QUE SE ENFRENTAN EN EL PRENATAL DE ALTO RIESGO Y EN LA ATENCIÓN AL PARTO

El embarazo en edades extremas de la vida reproductiva, como la adolescencia precoz y la edad materna avanzada, representa un factor de riesgo para resultados perinatales desfavorables y suele estar asociado a la vulnerabilidad social y a la fragilidad de la atención recibida. Las mujeres menores de 19 años o mayores de 35 años se enfrentan a barreras psicosociales, biológicas y estructurales en el acceso a la atención prenatal y al parto, lo que puede comprometer su experiencia gestacional y la salud de la pareja madre-bebé. Por lo tanto, este estudio buscó comprender las experiencias de las mujeres embarazadas en extremos de la edad reproductiva, explorando sus trayectorias asistenciales, percepciones y resultados perinatales. Se trata de un estudio cualitativo basado en entrevistas narrativas con mujeres adolescentes y de edad avanzada en el posparto, analizadas mediante análisis de contenido con el apoyo de software de análisis textual. Se identificaron cinco clases temáticas: desafíos en el prenatal de alto riesgo; juicios relacionados con la edad materna; falta de apoyo de la pareja; dificultades en la atención al parto; e impacto del contexto socioeconómico en el embarazo no planificado. Las narrativas revelaron sufrimiento emocional, abandono conyugal, desigualdades sociales y fragilidad institucional. La red de apoyo familiar, especialmente materno, surgió como un elemento protector, aunque insuficiente ante la precariedad de la atención ofrecida. En este estudio, se puede evidenciar lo esencial que es fortalecer la atención primaria con un enfoque multiprofesional y políticas públicas que promuevan la equidad en la atención materno-infantil
