IMPACTOS SOCIOPOLÍTICOS GERADOS PELO CASO GEORGE FLOYD

O presente artigo tem como objetivo analisar os impactos sociopolíticos gerados após o assassinato de George Floyd, um afro-americano de 46 anos que foi morto por policiais brancos na cidade de Minneapolis, Minnesota em maio de 2020. Onde para a elaboração do mesmo foi feita revisão literária utilizando artigos científicos, livros, reportagens, legislação, etc. Analisando assim todo o contexto em que o caso se inseriu e suas respectivas consequências, tendo em vista que além de impactos locais o caso gerou repercussão em todo o mundo, trazendo à tona discussões sobre assuntos como racismo, preconceito e violência policial. Além disso foi feita toda uma análise do movimento “Black Lives Matter” (Vidas Negras Importam), que ganhou força em todo o mundo graças a grande adesão de pessoas com grande influência, como políticos, esportistas, celebridades e jornalistas.
