LA INFANCIA PENSANTE: MONTEIRO LOBATO Y LAS MEMORIAS DE EMÍLIA DESDE LA PERSPECTIVA DE LA LITERATURA INFANTIL BRASILEÑA

El presente artículo analiza la contribución de Monteiro Lobato a la consolidación de la literatura infantil brasileña, destacando su relevancia histórica, cultural y pedagógica. El estudio presenta un panorama de la literatura infantil en las primeras décadas del siglo XX, un período marcado por traducciones moralizantes y la ausencia de obras orientadas a la realidad de los niños brasileños. En este contexto, Monteiro Lobato surge como pionero al crear narrativas dirigidas al público infantil nacional, con un lenguaje accesible, personajes auténticos y temas que unen fantasía, conocimiento y crítica social. El análisis de Memórias da Emília (1936) revela la fusión entre el autor y el personaje, ya que Emilia representa el alter ego de Lobato, manifestando su irreverencia, su pensamiento crítico y su reflexión sobre la propia escritura. La muñeca de trapo, al narrar sus memorias, rompe con los patrones tradicionales de la narrativa infantil y adquiere autonomía, convirtiéndose en símbolo de la libertad creativa e intelectual del autor. Así, la obra de Lobato traspasa los límites de la literatura infantil, transformándose en un instrumento de formación del pensamiento y de valorización de la imaginación como fuerza transformadora de la realidad.
