This is a cross-sectional, quantitative study that analyzed the association between the academic training provided by a Federal Institute of Education and its effects on the individual income and family quality of life of 219 alumni who completed their courses between 2015 and 2023. The research considered socioeconomic, demographic, educational, and occupational aspects, using a structured electronic questionnaire. Participants were predominantly from public schools (74.4%), with an average entry age of 22.6 years, and mainly graduates from Exact Sciences, Technology, and Health courses. Regarding prior education, 58% had only a high school diploma. At the time of the survey, 81.8% were employed, with 42.5% working in their field of study. The most frequent individual income was up to three minimum wages. Significantly, 79.3% reported an improvement in family quality of life after graduation, and 25.1% indicated an improvement in remuneration. Statistical analysis demonstrated a significant association ($p<0.05$) between the perception of improvement in quality of life and variables such as working in the field of study and evaluation of the training received. Income in the field of study was associated with the occupational group, level of training, and work location. It is concluded that the technical and professional training offered by the institution significantly contributes to the social and economic mobility of its alumni, generating positive impacts on their professional insertion and family quality of life.
