UMA REVISÃO DE LITERATURA

O carcinoma é uma das neoplasias mais frequentes entre as mulheres, sendo uma das maiores causas de óbitos por câncer. Dentre os recursos terapêuticos envolvidos para o tratamento estão a quimioterapia, hormonioterapia, radioterapia e a fisioterapia. A cirurgia é um dos recursos que coopera para o cuidado e tratamento do carcinoma, porém, pode apresentar complicações no processo pós-cirúrgico, como por exemplo, o linfedema, em que entra a atuação da fisioterapia. Diante disso, definiu-se como objetivo geral deste estudo descrever sobre a eficácia da drenagem manual no tratamento de linfedema pósmastectomia, evidenciando tudo sobre o carcinoma, mastectomia e linfedema. A pesquisa ocorreu através do método qualitativo, apresentando considerações através de percepções e análises. O que pôde ser considerado com a presente pesquisa, que a drenagem linfática manual proporciona e traz resultados benéficos para as pacientes que passam pela mastectomia e sofrem com o linfedema no seu processo.
